Fresh Start Retreat (Jan. 17-19, 2020)

Bring your mind, your body, and your heart into balance as you start the New Year. With the holidays behind you, you will find a FRESH START this weekend, with yoga, meditation, guided inquiry and journaling, silent hours, shared meals, and exquisite scenery. This is a chance to reset your system with health, peace, spiritual practices, and elevated conversation. *Please note, this is a dry retreat (meaning no wine/alcohol, please)

What you can expect:

  • 5 yoga classes with Karson
    (a mixture of Hatha, Yin, Slow Flow, Anusara Elements, and Restorative)

  • Silent mornings for personal sadhana (spiritual practice)

  • Guided meditations

  • Several workshops that will support your personal development
    and spiritual development (including Desire Mapping for the New Year)

  • Healthy and delicious meals (all meals are included)

  • 2 nights accommodations at the Zen House

  • Beautiful views, quiet location, surrounded by nature

What To Bring:

Please bring: Yoga mat, comfortable clothing for yoga and walking, hiking or walking shoes, water bottle, sunscreen and sun hat, and warm and waterproof jacket or sweater for cool or wet weather. Also bring clothing for going out to dinner, if you so choose. Bring a journal, your copy of the Desire Map, the Desire Map Workbook (either on your laptop or printed out) ,pens that make you happy, and any additional items that will help inspire you. Optional items: eye mask or small hand towel to cover eyes during savasana.

 

Will be Provided: Yoga props, although you may bring your own if you wish. Blowdryers. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap. Linens & towels. Simple breakfast, snacks, coffee, tea. Dinner on Friday, lunch on Saturday. Art supplies. 

 

Tentative Schedule:

Friday
  • 2-4pm Arrivals (We highly encourage your to leave San Diego by 1pm, so as to avoid Friday traffic)

  • 4:30pm - Opening practices, introductions & creation of our Altar

  • 6:00pm – Dinner

  • 7:30pm - Evening yoga practice to prepare for nourishing sleep 

  • 10:00pm - Silence
     

Saturday
  • Silent morning (*drink coffee, have a small meal, meditate)

  • 8.00am - Yoga with Karson

  • 9.30am - Breakfast

  • 10:30am – Workshop with Karson

  • 12.30pm – Lunch 

  • 1:30pm - Silent Reading  Hour

  • 2:30pm - Free time (nap, read, craft, journal, walk, connect, enjoy)

  • 5:00pm - Sunset mantra/meditation & practices

  • 6:00pm - Dinner

  • 7:30pm - Evening yoga practice to prepare for nourishing sleep 

  • 10:00pm - Silence
     

Sunday
  • Silent & slow Sunday morning

  • 9.00am - Yoga with Karson

  • 10:30am - Brunch

  • 11:30am - Closing Circle

  • 12pm -- Check out

Accommodations & Cost: 

There are 4 bedrooms on site, and contain 1, 2, or 6 beds, with a bathroom assigned to each room. Men & Women are invited to this retreat. You can request your room preference, however this retreat is a flat-rate experience, and beds will be assigned once registration is closed (according to requests and gender). Please let us know if you have any physical limitations that would prevent you from being in a top bunk.

The full amount is required at time of reservation and there are no refunds after 30-days prior to the retreat date.
