What is included:

  • Your 300-hr Yoga Alliance certified advanced TT program, led by Karson McGinley, and guest teachers.

  • Nine mini-retreats over the course of the year.

  • Lodging in our newly furnished retreat space for Sunday and Monday nights for each of the modules

  • All meals. We will cook dinners on Sunday and Monday evenings together, and we will provide coffee/tea, fresh fruit, simple breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the day.

What you can expect:

  • An opportunity to deepen your personal practice (both spiritual and asana). Primarily, this training aims to deepen and fortify your studies and experience of yoga; the best teachers are dedicated students and committed practitioners. This format will provide the luxury of full immersion into the teachings for two full days/nights per module, while we unplug and gather each month as a sangha.
     

  • Personal development through Positive Psychology. This training dives deeper into the science of human flourishing, including topics like the five-sided model of well-being (PERMA), navigating difficult emotions, the role of goals in happiness, advanced gratitude practices, skillful relationships, and the power of choice. This course of study will undoubtedly grow and shape how you engage with and lead your students.
     

  • A greater understanding of the body (your own and that of your student). Expect in depth study of anatomy, physiology, nutrition, Ayurveda, and lifestyle.
     

  • To strengthen your teaching skills (including, but not limited to theming, yoga as a healing modality, trauma-informed yoga, alignment principles, yoga for anatomical differences & peak pose sequencing). Learn how to apply what you know in private yoga sessions, as well as in beginner, mixed-level, and advanced public classes.
     

  • A closer look at yogic texts like the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika.
     

  • Meditation, pranayama, and mindfulness practices to curate a one-of-a-kind personal sadhana and daily routine.


Dates: February- December 2020 in 9 modules.

All modules are retreat-style, meaning we will practice, teach, sit, learn, laugh, lodge, cook, and eat together from Sunday evening to Tuesday evening on the following dates:
